North Carolina Triangle Area Cafes and Restaurants Stand for Women on International Women’s Day
North Carolina Triangle area cafes and restaurants will highlight Café Femenino Coffee for a week-long celebration of International Women’s Day starting March 8. Our cafe and restaurant partners will bring attention to these unique coffees by serving or selling it, often exclusively, while others will incorporate Café Femenino Coffee into menu items. Together, they will raise awareness of the women coffee farmers at the core of Cafe Femenino Coffee’s mission.
Triangle cafes featuring Café Femenino Coffee include:
Fresh Levant Bistro–This woman-owned Mediterranean bistro in Raleigh features an all gluten-free, soy-free menu. Fresh Levant will be serving Café Femenino Coffee from March 8 - March 15th.
Garland–Recent James Beard Award-nominated chef Cheetie Kumar is creating two amazing desserts featuring Café Femenino Coffee Espresso, a masala spiked coffee ice cream with a crispy cookie crumble for lunch service and a mocha cremeaux, coffee semifreddo, with flourless chocolate cake and candied kumquat. Garland will be serving these desserts throughout March.
Guglhupf –This woman-owned German bakery & cafe known for their outstanding artisanship and attention to quality, will serve and sell Café Femenino Coffees in their Durham and Chapel Hill cafes.
Jack Tar & The Colonel’s Daughter–The all-day eatery at the Unscripted Durham hotel from the team behind Pizzeria Toro will serve Café Femenino Coffee. More details to come!
Lantern Restaurant–Owned by James Beard Award winner Andrea Reusing, Lantern will serve Café Femenino Coffee from March 9 - March 15th.
The Coffee Shop at The Durham Hotel–Andrea Reusing also leads the Dining program at The Durham Hotel and the Coffee Shop aims to be Durham’s community living room. The Coffee Shop will be serving a Café Femenino Coffee pour over special from March 9 - March 15th.
The Root Cellar Cafe & Catering–Women-owned and operated with locations in Chapel Hill and Pittsboro, The Root Cellar serves comforting scratch-made food and drink for the community and celebrates fellowship with family and friends. The Root Cellar will be serving Café Femenino Coffee in the cafes and selling bagged coffees in their market.
